TradingView detects growing number of fake ads circulating on Facebook
Recently, TradingView has detected a growing number of fake TradingView advertisements circulating on Facebook.
These scams promise free access to TradingView Premium features and other tempting “bonuses.” As with most online scams, the real cost is much higher — schemes like these harm TradingView’s brand reputation, mislead its community, and, most importantly, put users’ personal data and security at risk.
TradingView is in no way connected to these fraudulent ads. The only reliable source of information about TradingView’s products and offers is its official website, www.tradingview.com, and its verified channels.
The recent fraudulent ads often:
- Offer “free” annual TradingView subscriptions
- Claim partnerships with other well-known companies, e.g., promising free USDT on Binance along with a TradingView subscription
- Imitate TradingView design, making the ad appear authentic
- Once clicked, these ads redirect users to a site that closely mimics the TradingView interface. From there, users may be prompted to download “special” software that is actually malware designed to steal data.
Here are a few key steps to protect yourself:
- Be cautious with “free” offers. Messages promising free access to Premium features are often scams leading to malware-infected downloads. Only make purchases through the TradingView Pricing page or the TradingView official apps.
- Avoid “cracked” versions. Fake, “developer,” or “hacked” versions of TradingView are dangerous and illegal. The TradingView official desktop and mobile apps are available exclusively on its website and official app stores.
- Check the domain. Scammers often use deceptive domain names, such as trading-view.com or tradingview-premium.net. If it’s not exactly tradingview.com, don’t just leave, run away.
If you’ve already clicked on a suspicious ad or link:
- Secure your account immediately. Change your TradingView password and enable two-factor authentication to prevent unauthorized access.
- Scan your device. Run a full malware and antivirus scan, and remove unknown software.
- Review account activity. Revoke suspicious sessions or app connections.
- Report it. Contact the TradingView support team with screenshots and links to the ad or site so that the company can investigate.
