Libertex sponsors Tottenham Hotspur as Official Trading Partner
The parade of forex brokers pouring money into European soccer sponsorships continues.
Cyprus based Retail FX and CFDs broker Libertex has announced a multi-year deal with UK Premier League team Tottenham Hotspur, which will see Libertex become the club’s Official Trading Partner.
Tottenham Hotspur is a popular north London based team, which has consistently placed in the top six spots of the Premier League over the past decade.
Unlike some of the other soccer sponsorships we have reported on recently (see list below), this isn’t one which will see the Libertex logo adorn Tottenham’s jerseys. (Tottenham’s front-of-shirt sponsor is insurance company AIA, signed through to the 2026-27 season).
Instead, the new multi-year partnership will see Libertex have a presence across the club’s digital channels and LED perimeter advertising system. Libertex will have the opportunity to offer Spurs fans and their existing clients access to private stadium tours, exclusive events and premium matchday hospitality at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium- when fans can safely return in person, of course.
The company can also use the Tottenham name and logo in its own marketing materials. To that end, Libertex stated that it will launch a “Trade For More” campaign in conjunction with the new sponsorship, aimed at sharing their love of the game with the club’s fanbase.
Marios Chailis, Chief Marketing Officer of Libertex, said:
“Libertex could not be happier to partner with a team whose values echo our own so perfectly. Through this multi-year partnership, we’re thrilled to join the worlds of football and trading in the form of many exciting benefits for our clients and look forward to cheering on Spurs when they return to the pitch.”
Fran Jones, Head of Partnerships for Tottenham Hotspur, commented:
“At Tottenham Hotspur, technology and innovation is key to everything we do and we are excited to partner with Libertex, an organisation that shares this commitment through its own products and services.”
As noted above, there have been a flurry of recent sports sponsorship deals signed by Retail Forex brokers, many if not most of them with leading European soccer clubs. Other sponsorships recently reported by FNG include easyMarkets-Real Madrid (also a non-jersey deal), Samtrade FX-Cardiff City, eToro-AS Monaco, Plus500-Atalanta, Plus500-Legia Warsaw, Plus500-BSC Young Boys FC, and IC Markets-Inter Milan.
