Bridget Messer to step down as IG Group exec director
IG Group Holdings plc (LON:IGG), a global leader in online trading, today announces Bridget Messer, Executive Director and the Group’s Chief Commercial Officer, has informed the Board of her intention to step down from her role for family reasons.
Bridget Messer will continue in her role to support an orderly transition over the coming months and will remain as a director of the company until the date of the AGM, scheduled for 22 September, but will not stand for re-election.

Bridget Messer joined IG as Legal Counsel in May 2005. She then held a number of roles within the legal function leading to her appointment as General Counsel and Head of Compliance in April 2010. She was also appointed Group Company Secretary in March 2011.
In September 2015, Bridget Messer was appointed as Chief Commercial Officer, reporting directly to the Chief Executive.
Prior to joining IG, Bridget Messer held a position as a solicitor within Deutsche Bank and as a corporate solicitor at Corrs Chambers Westgarth Lawyers in Australia.
Bridget Messer graduated from Queensland University of Technology with a Bachelor of Laws, first class honours, and a Bachelor of Business (Dean’s List) in 2001, and was admitted to the roll of solicitors for Queensland in 2003, and England & Wales in 2006.
