CME Group to expand GLink network infrastructure at Aurora co-location facility
CME Group today unveiled its plans to expand its network infrastructure to support future demand for 10G GLink connectivity at the CME Co-Location Facility in Aurora, IL.
This network expansion is scheduled to occur on Saturday, January 9, 2021, from 8 a.m. – 1 p.m. Central Standard Time (CST) /1300 – 1800 Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). GLink customers may experience a brief interruption to service during this time.
CME Group explains that it is proactively increasing capacity in anticipation of future growth. CME Group will be adding switches and balancing for port diversity of existing GLink connections across hardware. The switches being added are the same brand and model as the switches that are currently in place. GLink variability standards apply across all switches.
Customers do not need to make any changes. CME Group encourages customers to confirm their GLink connectivity after the GLink network expansion has concluded.
Effective immediately, new GLink orders will be provisioned after the network expansion and port balance is completed.
