MAS fines five individuals for abetting ex-Epicentre chairman in false and unauthorised trading

MAS has imposed civil penalties on four individuals and a trading representative in connection with false trading.

The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) has imposed a civil penalty of S$350,000 on Mr Gui Boon Sui.

Mr Tay Ming Hin was convicted on 26 August 2024 and sentenced to four weeks imprisonment for false trading in the shares of KOP Limited.

The MMT has ordered Jonathan Dominic Iu Wai Ching, a former responsible officer of Tarascon, to disgorge illicit profit of over $5.6 million.

The Eastern Magistrates’ Court has sentenced two former licensees, Mr Yip Chi Wing and Mr Tsoi Chiu Kwan, to three months of imprisonment.
