BitMEX’s violation include the operation of a facility to trade or process swaps without having CFTC approval to operate.
The Division of Enforcement of the CFTC has received offers of settlement from Arthur Hayes, Benjamin Delo, and Samuel Reed.
The CFTC opposes an attempt by BitMEX co-founder Ben Peter Delo the lawsuit against him at the New York Southern District Court.
Ben Peter Delo, one of the co-founders of BitMEX, seeks to dismiss CFTC charges claiming there is no personal jurisdiction over him.
The DOJ wants to intervene in the CFTC case against “BitMEX,” or the Bitcoin Mercantile Exchange.
BitMEX has made more than $1 billion in fees, while conducting significant aspects of its business from the U.S.
