Rakuten Securities expands list of stocks available to trade
Japanese FX, CFD and stock brokerage Rakuten Securities, a subsidiary of Internet services provider Rakuten Inc (TYO:4755), continues to expand its offering of trading instruments.
The broker announces that, effective October 20, 2021, it will add the stocks of 200 companies listed on US and Hong Kong exchanges to its offering.
The newly added US stocks include Tyra Biosciences (TYRA), a biotechnology company targeting new pathways of acquired resistance in oncology with purpose-built drugs. Rakuten will start offering 150 stocks of companies listed on NASDAQ and NYSE, including recently listed stocks and the most requested stocks, such as Faraday Future Intelligent Electric (FFIE).
The list of Hong Kong stocks includes Tam Jai International (02217), which operates Asian noodle specialty stores and fast casual restaurants, and Broncus Holding (02216), which is based in China and mainly conducts research and development, manufacturing and commercialization of medical devices. Rakuten will add 50 stocks listed on Hong Kong exchanges.
The broker has been regularly expanding its offering. In August, for example, it added nearly 200 stocks of US-listed companies to its offering. In September, it added further 200 stocks.
