UK Financial Services Compensation Scheme now open to Verus customer claims
The UK Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) is now open to claims of Verus customers.
Verus Financial Services Ltd has been authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) since March 2017. Verus was an independent financial adviser firm providing investment, pension, mortgage, equity release and insurance advice.
If you believe you have a potential compensation claim against Verus, you can apply by using the FSCS online claim service.
Although FSCS is accepting claims against Verus, they will not be immediately passed to its claims processing teams for assessment. FSCS is currently investigating the firm to determine whether claims meet the qualifying conditions for compensation, and this may take some time. FSCS is working closely with the FCA.
If you have already submitted a complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS), they may contact you to request your permission to transfer your file to FSCS. You will still need to make a claim with FSCS, however you do not need to provide any evidence which is already held on your FOS file, provided it is transferred to FSCS.
