FxPro unveils new global ‘A Real Pro Trader’ campaign
Online broker FxPro has unveiled its latest global brand campaign, taking a playful swipe at the stereotypes of the trading world. At a time when AI-generated content and predictable advertising are everywhere, FxPro has gone the other way: real actors, real humour and a distinctly human idea.
The campaign centres on a chaotic casting session to find an actor capable of playing “a real Pro trader.” One by one, candidates step up to deliver an FxPro line, each taking the performance hilariously too far.
Adding to the comedy, McLaren drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri make a special appearance in the campaign.
As an Official Partner of McLaren Racing since 2018, FxPro is proud to feature the drivers in its latest global campaign, bringing together the worlds of trading and motorsport in an unexpected and entertaining way.
At the casting table, an increasingly exhausted director remains unconvinced. Nobody is right. But it has a twist.
“We could have taken the easy route: AI actors, stock footage and the same serious-trader-staring-at-screens routine we’ve all seen before,” said Alex Redinger, Creative Producer at FxPro. “Instead, we wanted to create something human, memorable and genuinely funny. Trading doesn’t always have to look so serious, and neither does advertising.”
The humour has a point. By poking fun at the over-dramatic trader, hype-driven influencer and jargon-obsessed analyst, the campaign challenges the idea that being a Pro is about looking or acting the part.
Shot with a live cast and real physical set, the campaign deliberately feels closer to a comedy sketch than a conventional financial ad: unpredictable, exaggerated and unmistakably human.
