Interactive Brokers’ Advisor Portal simplifies client application, enhances Message Center
Electronic trading major Interactive Brokers continues to expand and enhance the functionalities of its Advisor Portal.
In its continuing effort to simplify the client application, Interactive Brokers is removing the need for advisor clients to provide investment experience and knowledge information. Only if a client is specifically trade enabled, will they need to provide this information.
The brokerage has released a Compliance Tasks tab which provides advisors with a list of all compliance related tasks pending for their clients.
Also, the company has taken steps to enhance the functionality offered on the Sub Account Messages tab.
- Delivery Settings: The new Deliver Settings button allows for masters to make delivery elections on some templates. They will be able to elect to have them delivered to the master, the client, or both. This can only be done by the primary user for now.
- Manage Templates: This shows the masters the templates which they have made delivery settings changes to. From this screen, they will be able to initiate an update.
- E-mail to Client: Master accounts will have the ability to send our message directly to their clients.
Finally, the Advisor Portal offers the “Configure Flex with AI” functionality, which allows you to create and manage Flex Queries using plain English descriptions without manually navigating query fields or settings. This natural language interface interprets your data requirements and automatically builds the corresponding Flex Query for you.
Simply describe the data you need, and the AI will configure either an Activity Flex Query or a Trade Confirmation Flex Query. Once configured, a preview of your generated query is displayed and includes placeholder data to illustrate the selected sections and columns. The final report can be downloaded in multiple formats (CSV, XML, or Text). You can also save queries as reusable templates and schedule them for future delivery.
The tool supports all account types currently available for Flex Queries. Data is available up to the previous business day with the exception of Trade Confirmations which can include trades data for the current day.
