IG Securities, the Japanese subsidiary of electronic trading major IG Group, today issued a notice to its clients, informing those of them who plan to trade Japanese stock CFDs about new requirements.

Those customers of IG Japan who will open new positions in Japanese stock CFDs after December 21, 2022 will have to submit an “Insider Information Declaration Form“. Customers who are planning to trade Japanese stock CFDs or who are already trading are asked to submit the “Insider Information Declaration Form” by December 19, 2022.

IG will restrict new trading of Japanese stock CFD trading and settlement for customers who do not submit the “Insider Information Declaration Form” from December 21, 2022.

(Note: Settlement transactions for single-sided positions will continue to be possible after the same day).

Customers who do not plan to open new positions in Japanese stock CFDs do not need to submit the information declaration. Even if you have already submitted the “Insider Information Declaration Form” in the past, please submit it again.

Insider information declaration forms will be accepted at any time after December 20, 2022. After IG receives the information, it will check the contents of the description, and there will be a time lag as it will gradually lift the transaction restrictions.
