CMC Markets introduces fractional investing
Global multi-asset financial services firm CMC Markets has expanded its CMC Invest platform with the launch of fractional investing, giving retail investors greater flexibility in how they build diversified portfolios.
Fractional investing is available across CMC Invest’s Stocks & Shares ISA, Self-Invested Personal Pension (SIPP) and General Investment Account (GIA). The launch enables clients to buy and sell fractional shares and exchange-traded funds (ETFs), allowing them to invest from as little as £1.
By investing by value rather than purchasing whole shares, clients can build more diversified portfolios by investing the amount that suits them, while continuing to benefit from commission-free investing.
The launch reflects CMC Markets’ continued investment in its wealth proposition, broadening access to investing through a simpler, more flexible experience designed to give retail investors greater choice and control.
Lachlan Rourke Davies, Senior Product Manager, CMC Markets, said:
“Investing should be defined by an investor’s goals, not the price of a single share. Fractional investing gives clients greater flexibility to build diversified portfolios in a way that works for them, helping them invest with greater confidence while reflecting our continued focus on making investing more accessible to all.”
