Exclusive: OANDA hires Gain Capital’s Ella Hacer Gumus to head affiliate marketing
FNG Exclusive… The dominos from Gain Capital’s recent acquisition by StoneX continue to fall.
FNG has learned that Gain Capital’s longtime London based Global Affiliate Marketing Manager Ella Hacer Gumus has left the company, and joined rival Retail FX broker OANDA. Ms. Gumus’ former boss, Gain Capital CMO Wendy Collins, had left Gain Capital back in July even before the StoneX deal closed.
At OANDA, Ms. Gumus will slot into a similar role as Senior Affiliate Marketing Manager, reporting to OANDA CEO-EMEA and Global CMO David Hodge.
Ella Hacer Gumus had joined Gain Capital in 2018, and worked on affiliate marketing for both its Forex.com and City Index brands. Prior to Gain she was Affiliate Marketing Manager at UK online spreadbetting broker Core Spreads. She holds a Master of Arts (MA) in Marketing from Kingston University in London.
Interestingly, the two companies Gain Capital and OANDA are currently embroiled in a patent infringement lawsuit.
We expect more management changes in the upcoming weeks and months at Gain Capital, as StoneX continues the integration of the Forex.com and City Index brands and various functions into the organization.
