FNG Exclusive… FNG has learned that Limassol, Cyprus based marketing executive Mariliza Karrera has left Retail FX broker Tickmill, and joined rival startup broker M4Markets.

Ms. Karrera’s move to M4Markets marks a reunion for her with her former boss at Tickmill, Marilena Iakovou, who was recently hired as CMO at M4Markets, as was also exclusively reported by FNG last month. Another of Tickmill’s former marketing team, Themis Christou, is also now at M4Markets.

Mariliza Karrera joined Tickmill in 2018, after working as a content writer at forex broker technology and MT4/MT5 integration specialist PrimeXM.

M4Markets is formally domiciled in Seychelles and holds a financial services license from the Financial Services Authority (FSA) in the Seychelles. However the company is operated primarily from Cyprus, and we understand that M4Markets is in process of applying for licenses for its subsidiaries in both Cyprus and the UK. M4Markets was established by Deepak Jassal, formerly an investment banker with HSBC, KPMG and UBS, and by Theofanis Nakos, a fixed income sales specialist.
