IG Group CTO David Perry, UK CTO Qaiser Mazhar depart
The changes at IG Group (LON:IGG) keep on coming.
FNG has learned that the two most senior technology officers at the leading UK online broker, David Perry and Qaiser Mazhar, have left the company.
David Perry (pictured above) had been with IG less than a year. He joined IG as CTO in late 2025 from Vemi Money, where he had served as Group CTO since 2023. Previously he founded Ziglu, a digital currency platform. David has also held roles at a range of organisations from start-ups to major enterprises, including Starling Bank, BP and Barclays.
Qaiser Mazhar was also at IG a relatively short time, joining in 2025 as CTO for IG’s UK and Ireland operations. Qaiser was previously Chief Product and Technology Officer at UK online supermarket company Asda. He has also worked at Wowcher, Unruly, Marks & Spencer and Rightmove. Qaiser began his fintech career as a software engineer at Goldman Sachs.
IG Group is in the midst of a major corporate reorganization, including hundreds of layoffs throughout the organization. IG shares fell by more than 20% on Friday, following the release of a disappointing Q3 Trading Update.
