LME Clear confirms appointment of Julie Carruthers as Board Chair
LME Clear today confirmed the appointment of Julie Carruthers as Chair of the Board.
Julie Carruthers joined the Board as an Independent Non-Executive Director in 2022 and has served as Interim Chair since 1 January 2026.
With more than 30 years’ experience across financial markets and market infrastructure, she has led major strategic and operational transformation programmes and brings deep expertise in operations, governance and organisational change.
Ms Carruthers was at UK Finance from 2020-2025, and her final role there was MD of Membership and Strategic Partnerships. Previously she was at TP ICAP where she held a number of roles including Global Head of Operations and Chief of Staff. Prior to joining TP ICAP in 2001, the earlier part of her career was spent in roles at Deutsche Bank and UBS.
Julie Carruthers has also served on the board of the social mobility charity, Leadership Through Sport and Business and as a trustee for the charitable foundation, Futures for Kids.
