Invast Global hires BNY Mellon’s Charl de Vleeschauwer to head trading
Australia based Retail FX broker Invast Global, part of Japanese financial firm Invast Securities, has hired Charl de Vleeschauwer as Managing Director, Global Head of Electronic Trading and Execution.
Charl de Vleeschauwer has been involved in FX trading for 20 years, most recently acting as APAC Head of Electronic Markets, FX and G10 Trading for the Australia unit of US banking firm BNY Mellon. Before joining BNY Mellon in 2019 Mr. de Vleeschauwer was with another US financial giant, Citi, working as Director, Fixed Income & Commodities in Sydney where he navigated the Yen Liquidity Event of January 2019, with full responsibility for the firm’s entire FX exposure.
He has also worked in various trading related roles at Macquarie, Deutsche Bank, Rand Merchant Bank, and KBC Bank & Verzekering.
A native of South Africa, Charl de Vleeschauwer holds a BSc degree in geology from the University of Stellenbosch and an MSc degree from the University of Brussels.
