Exclusive: Trading 212 compliance head Victoria Mears departs

FNG Exclusive… FNG has learned that Victoria Mears has left her position as Head of Compliance and MLRO (Money Laundering Reporting Officer) at FCA regulated online broker Trading 212. Her departure was effective as of yesterday, September 30.

Victoria Mears joined Trading 212 in London in 2022 as Group Deputy Head of Compliance, and was promoted to the head role the following year. Prior to joining Trading 212, Victoria spent 14 years at FOREX.com and City Index (now StoneX Trading) operator Gain Capital, as Deputy Head of Compliance.

Trading 212 is controlled by Bulgarian entrepreneurs Borislav Nedialkov and Ivan Ashminov, and operates licensed subsidiaries in the UK, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Germany, and Australia. The company is run day-to-day by London based CEO Mukid Chowdhury.
