FNG Exclusive… FNG has learned that US institutional broker and fintech provider Edgewater Markets is continuing its recent international expansion push, hiring online trading industry veteran Harry Fry as Managing Director – Australia. He will continue to be based in Sydney for his new role at Edgewater.

Harry Fry joins Edgewater after spending the past four years with liquidity and technology provider  MAS Markets, serving as Head of APAC. Harry joined MAS Markets (then known as BidX Markets) from 26 Degrees (then Invast Global) where he was Director, Prime Services. He has also previously spent six years at Finalto.

New York based Edgewater has been making an international expansion push in 2026 in several regions, earlier this year hiring former Finalto CEO Matt Maloney to head Edgewater UK, and former CMC Markets’ institutional head Richard Elston, to help build out its UAE operation. The group also recently added former HFM Head of MENA Hazim Ismail, as Senior Director – Institutional Business Development in Dubai, and Tim Rudland as Head of Market Infrastructure in Dubai.

I’m happy to share that I’m joining Edgewater Markets as Managing Director – Australia!

After four years with MAS Group, I’m grateful for the experience, relationships and opportunities that came with developing the business across Asia-Pacific. My time at MAS gave me valuable insight into the region’s trading landscape and, most importantly, allowed me to build a network of great clients, partners and industry professionals.

I’m now looking forward to a new challenge and to returning to the Prime of Prime side of the industry, with an exciting opportunity to further promote Edgewater Markets’ institutional liquidity offering across APAC.

I’m particularly excited to be working alongside CEO Matthew Maloney again, and to have the opportunity to work with highly experienced professionals such as Richard Elston, Phil Kim and 牛山敦嗣.
