Exclusive: Saxo Bank communications heads Lasse Lilholt and Yvette Lim depart
FNG Exclusive… FNG has learned that the changes are continuing at Copenhagen based Retail FX and CFDs broker Saxo Bank, with the company’s two senior Communications / PR officers, Lasse Lilholt and Yvette Lim, leaving the company.
Lasse Lilholt (pictured above) had been with Saxo Bank since 2015 (except for a brief stint in 2017-2018 at PR firm Geelmuyden Kiese), starting as PR & Public Affairs Coordinator before being named Saxo’s Global Head of Communications, PR and Social Media in 2021. He had previously worked at Jyske Bank.
Yvette Lim had been with Saxo Bank for five years, serving as Head of Strategic Communications and PR APAC for the broker. She joined Saxo Bank after working as a Senior Vice President at strategic consulting firm Teneo in Singapore. We understand that Yvette has relocated from Copenhagen back to Singapore, and will be working as a Managing Director with strategic advisory firm FGS Global.
After seeing its trading volumes fall throughout the first half of 2024, and in the wake of the company’s failed attempt to go public in 2022, Saxo Bank hired Goldman Sachs to “initiate a review of strategic opportunities” this summer. The Goldman Sachs mandate will likely see the company position to go public or be sold, as leading outside shareholders Geely Group (just under 50%) and Mandatum (just under 20%) seek to monetize their stakes in the company. Saxo Bank has also scaled back its activities in the Far East, recently closing its office in Hong Kong.
