FNG Exclusive… FNG has learned that longtime IG Group regulatory executive Katerina Michael has joined Retail FX and CFDs broker Trading.com, as Regulatory Officer covering the global licensing and compliance functions at Trading.com.

Katerina Michael, based in Cyprus, had been with IG’s CySEC licensed operation Brightpool since 2021. She had also previously worked as a Dealer at TopFX, and at FXGT.

As we have previously reported, IG Group recently decided to shut down its Brightpool business in Cyprus, and relinquish its CySEC CIF license.

Trading.com is operated mainly from Cyprus and London, and is licensed in various jurisdictions worldwide including the UK, Australia, the EU, and the US. The company is part of the Trading Point group, which also operates CFDs broker XM.com.

Katerina posted the following note on social media regarding her move to Trading.com.

I’m pleased to share that I’ve joined Trading.com as a Regulatory Officer (Global Licensing & Compliance).

This role allows me to further develop my expertise in regulatory affairs, focusing on cross-jurisdictional licensing, compliance governance, and alignment with evolving global frameworks.
