SBI Holdings makes additional investment in Digital Asset
SBI Holdings, Inc today announced that it has made an additional investment in the funding round of Digital Asset Holdings, LLC, the developer of the Canton Network, a blockchain platform for institutional investors, through its subsidiary.
Digital Asset developed “Daml,” the underlying programming language of the Canton Network, and as the founder of the Canton Network, has led the participation of institutional investors in the ecosystem.
In December 2025, the U.S. DTCC (Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation), which executes the settlement of government bonds worth trillions of dollars annually, announced the tokenization of U.S. Treasury bonds on the Canton Network. Subsequently, in April 2026, it was announced that a proof-of-concept experiment for the advancement of digital collateral management targeting Japanese government bonds would also begin in Japan.
Digital Asset plays a core role in conducting technical development in all of these projects.
The Canton Network currently has over 700 participating institutions, including Goldman Sachs, BNP Paribas, Broadridge, Franklin Templeton, and Euroclear, and the scale of assets managed on the blockchain exceeds USD 6 trillion. Furthermore, with DTCC adopting the Canton Network for the digital securitization of U.S. Treasuries, broader expansion is expected in the second half of 2026.
