Madison Dearborn Partners closes acquisition of MoneyGram

Funds affiliated with MDP have completed their previously disclosed all-cash acquisition of MoneyGram for $11.00 per share.

In anticipation of the closing, the stock will be halted immediately following the after-hours session at 8 p.m. on May 31, 2023.

MoneyGram and MDP have received all but one regulatory approval and expect to close the transaction in early Q1 2023.

Madison Dearborn Partners will acquire MoneyGram for $11.00 per share in an all-cash transaction valued at $1.8 billion.
