Webull to introduce extended-hours options trading
Webull Corp (NASDAQ:BULL), an online investment platform, today announced it will introduce extended-hours trading for select single-stock and exchange-traded fund (ETF) options, giving eligible U.S. customers more flexibility to manage positions outside the regular market session.
Extended-hours options trading will allow customers to trade eligible options during the pre-market session from 7:30 a.m. to 9:25 a.m. ET and the post-market session from 4:00 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. ET. By extending access beyond regular trading hours, Webull is giving options traders more opportunities to enter or close positions in response to earnings announcements and other market-moving news.
“As markets evolve and material company news happens outside traditional trading hours, investors need tools that reflect the realities of today’s market environment,” said Anthony Denier, Group President and U.S. CEO of Webull. “Expanding options trading into pre- and post-market sessions is a natural progression in the evolution of our platform, giving traders greater flexibility to manage positions and respond to new information as it emerges.”
The initial rollout will cover select single-stock options, including Apple (AAPL), Amazon (AMZN), NVIDIA (NVDA), Tesla (TSLA), and other widely traded names, as well as ETF options tied to the SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust (SPY), Invesco QQQ Trust (QQQ), iShares Russell 2000 ETF (IWM), SPDR Gold Shares (GLD), and Financial Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLF).
Availability will vary by symbol and contract. For symbols that are already traded until 4:15 p.m. ET during their regular session, the additional post-market window will not apply.
Extended-hours trading for select single-stock and exchange-traded fund (ETF) options is available now. Extended-hours trading for select index options and availability in additional markets is expected over time.
