Robinhood Ventures Fund I invests in Cognition
Robinhood Ventures Fund I (NYSE:RVI) today announced it has closed investments worth approximately $10 million in Cognition.
“We believe Cognition is changing how software gets built, with Devin becoming an increasingly essential tool for engineering teams everywhere,” said Sarah Pinto, President of Robinhood Ventures Fund I. “Cognition is one of the defining companies of the AI-driven software era, and it represents the type of company retail investors should have access to through RVI.”
Cognition was founded in 2024 and builds Devin, the first autonomous software engineer. Devin plans, writes, tests, and ships production code on its own. Agents take on repetitive engineering work, so engineers can work more like architects: setting strategy, designing systems, and solving hard problems. Devin is deployed at some of the largest and most complex institutions in the world, including Goldman Sachs, Citi, Wayfair, Mercedes Benz, and Nubank. Recently, Cognition crossed $1B in annualized revenue run rate.
Robinhood Ventures Fund I, which is the first fund from Robinhood Ventures, began trading on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) on March 6, 2026, under the symbol RVI.
