Rakuten Securities to add 170 stocks to offering
Japanese FX, CFD and stock brokerage Rakuten Securities, a subsidiary of Internet services provider Rakuten Inc (TYO:4755), continues to expand its lineup of trading instruments. The broker has unveiled its plans to add stocks of 170 companies, listed on US, Chinese and Hong Kong stock exchanges.
The new stocks will be made available to trade from January 24, 2022.
The additions include the stock of multinational electronics and semiconductors manufacturer STMicroelectronics (NYSE:STM) and the stock of multi-crop and middle-market agricultural company S&W Seed Company (NASDAQ:SANW).
Clients of Rakuten Securities will also be able to trade in the shares of microblogging website Weibo Corp (HKG:09898). The broker will also start offering trading in stocks of Bank of Shanghai Co (SHA:601229).
Rakuten Securities has been regularly expanding its offering of trading instruments. In December 2021, for instance, Rakuten added stocks of 100 US-listed companies to the lineup of trading instruments.
The list of additions includes Grab Holdings Ltd (NASDAQ:GRAB), which operates Southeast Asia’s leading superapp “Grab”, and Sono Group NV (NASDAQ:SEV), a solar-powered electric vehicle manufacturer based in Germany.
