Darwinex to introduce NZD daily trading breaks
Social trading focused broker and asset management company Darwinex warns traders that liquidity on NZD pairs around 07:00 am NZ time has experienced an important drought.
This has given rise to wider spreads and larger candles around 07:00 am NZ time during the last few weeks, which in turn caused slippage and more TP (take profit) and SL (stop loss) getting triggered than usual.
Darwinex says that, due to the fact that the liquidity available in the market during those times does not meet the high quality standards that Darwinex traders deserve, the company will be introducing a daily 1 minute break at 07:00 am NZ time on all NZD pairs (i.e., AUDNZD, EURNZD, GBPNZD, NZDCAD, NZDCHF, NZDJPY and NZDUSD) so its customers’ trades are not affected by the low liquidity available during said minute.
This means that NZD pairs will remain closed from 07:00 am NZ time to 07:01 am NZ time. The new trading hours will be effective from Monday, 24 January 2022 and will remain in force until further notice.
Darwinex says it will monitor the liquidity available at all times and it will remove the NZD daily trading breaks only when it’s sure that the liquidity available meets its clients’ needs.
