Rakuten Securities temporarily suspends fixed spreads
Japanese Forex and CFD broker Rakuten Securities has temporarily suspended fixed spreads due to market volatility.
The company explains that the move is in response to the decline of liquidity in the Forex market due to multiple factors, including the depreciation of the yen, the foreign exchange intervention by the Bank of Japan, and the volatility of the British pound following the announcement of economic policies by the new British government. Spreads tend to widen significantly in such circumstances.
In light of the fact that this situation will continue in the future, Rakuten Securities has temporarily stop offering fixed spreads for all currency pairs of Rakuten FX and Rakuten MT4 for the time being.
In line with the above-mentioned changes, the broker is also suspending the Rakuten FX spread reduction campaign that has been running since September 6, 2022.
To avoid forced settlement (stop loss) due to sudden fluctuations in the market, traders are advised to pay close attention to the management of their open interest (positions) and funds.
