Rakuten Securities HK to stop offering Trading Station II
Online trading company Rakuten Securities HK plans to terminate Trading Station II (TSII), effective April 30, 2021.
The Forex broker encourages its clients who use the TSII platform to consult the following instructions. The aim is to limit the impact on all TSII clients and ensure the smooth transition to Rakuten FX.
After the TSII termination (from 1 May 2021) clients cannot log in to TSII. Rakuten Securities recommends to traders to download all trading data and records from TSII for record-keeping purposes.
Transfer of the open positions from the TSII account to the Rakuten FX account is possible but not for all currency pairs. For specific currency pairs (EUR/TRY, USD/TRY, USD/MXN, USD/ZAR), the open positions could not be transferred because Rakuten FX does not provide these currency pairs.
For these specific currency pairs, traders will not be allowed to open any new positions on TSII from the week of April 19, 2021. All open positions of these specific currency pairs will be closed automatically on TSII on or after 23 April 2021 at Rakuten Securities’ discretion.
Traders are encouraged to close all open positions in these specific currency pairs before 22 April 2021 market close (5:00 am HKT 23 April). For other currency pairs, it is at traders’ discretion to close the open positions or instruct Rakuten to transfer the open positions.
Those traders who would like to close their TSII account but are not ready to trade in Rakuten FX are advised to close all open positions in their TSII accounts by 23 April 2021 market close (4:55 am HKT 24 April). If there will be any open positions left, the broker will close them on or after 26 April market open (On or after 5:00 am HKT 26 April).
