OANDA Japan to stop offering MT4
OANDA Japan Inc, a subsidiary of online broker OANDA Corporation, will stop offering trading on the MetaTrader 4 (MT4) platform.
The broker said the planned termination is due to the recent tightening of cybersecurity standards and the strengthening of OANDA Japan’s security system to protect its customers’ assets and personal information.
OANDA Japan will terminate the provision of MetaTrader 4 (MT4) at the close of trading on Friday, November 27, 2026.
The brokerage commented:
“MT4 has been on the market for a long time, and MetaQuotes no longer provides system maintenance for it. Therefore, we have determined that it is difficult to continue meeting the latest security requirements.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but we ask for your understanding as this decision is made to provide you with a safer trading environment”.
OANDA Japan recommend that traders migrate to the more advanced MetaTrader 5 (MT5) as soon as possible.
