Exclusive: More OANDA management departures – Heads of Retail Sales, PR
FNG Exclusive… FNG has learned that the senior management exodus at Retail FX broker OANDA has continued into 2022, with two of OANDA’s executive team members in Singapore and London leaving.
The current resignations follow a number of other key departures late last year and early this year, including Benjamin Susanna who led sales and client retention teams across key markets for OANDA for six years; David Hodge, the CEO of OANDA EMEA in London and the company’s Global Chief Revenue Officer; and longtime OANDA CMO Chantelle Johnson. Benjamin Susanna and Chantelle Johnson have both joined Equiti Group in similar roles, while David Hodge is set join CySEC-licensed Skilling later this quarter once his garden leave concludes, as Skilling’s new CMO, as was also exclusively reported here at FNG.
The latest executives to leave OANDA include:
John Murphy (pictured at right), who served as Head of UK in London following the departure of Mr. Hodge as well as Global Head of Retail Sales for OANDA. Mr. Murphy had been with OANDA since 2016. Prior to OANDA he worked at Alpari UK and at FXCM.
Melinda Earsdon, based in Singapore, who had been with OANDA since 2014. Ms. Earsdon was most recently Global Head of Public Relations for OANDA, and was previously Regional Director of Marketing, APAC for the firm. We understand that she has left OANDA to join Standard Chartered Bank in Singapore, serving as Director, Strategic Engagement – Transaction Banking, FCSO & Ops Services.
OANDA is controlled by private equity investment firm CVC Capital Partners.
