Interactive Brokers registers 15% Y/Y drop in DARTs in October 2022
Electronic trading major Interactive Brokers Group, Inc. (NASDAQ:IBKR) has just published its key operating metrics for October 2022.
The broker reported 1.965 million Daily Average Revenue Trades (DARTs) for October 2022, 15% lower than prior year and about even with prior month.
Ending client equity was $296.7 billion, 22% lower than prior year and 3% higher than prior month, whereas ending client margin loan balances were $39.5 billion, 26% lower than prior year and 2% lower than prior month.
Interactive Brokers posted 2.04 million client accounts, 29% higher than prior year and 1% higher than prior month.
The average commission per cleared Commissionable Order was $3.09 including exchange, clearing and regulatory fees.
Speaking of Interactive Brokers’ performance, let’s note that, for the third quarter of 2022, the company reported diluted earnings per share of $0.97. For the year-ago quarter, reported diluted earnings per share were $0.43.
Reported net revenues were $790 million for the third quarter of 2022 and $847 million as adjusted. For the year-ago quarter, reported net revenues were $464 million and $650 million as adjusted.
Reported income before income taxes was $523 million for the third quarter of 2022 and $580 million as adjusted. For the year-ago quarter, reported income before income taxes was $234 million and $420 million as adjusted.
