Electronic trading major Interactive Brokers is now an official connector on Perplexity.

Clients can link their IBKR account directly through the Perplexity Connector Store to access portfolio holdings, positions, and market data within their Perplexity workflows.

Traders can connect their Interactive Brokers account to Perplexity and manage their portfolio through natural language. They can ask about positions, balances, P&L, allocations, and open orders, or request real-time quotes and historical market data.

Investors can also prompt Perplexity to draft trade instructions — for example, “Buy 100 shares of AAPL at a limit of $200” — which are sent to their IBKR account for their review and approval. Perplexity does not submit orders directly to the market.

Interactive Brokers regularly enhances the IBKR Connector (MCP). Interactive Brokers’ clients can now connect their IBKR account to any AI application that supports the Model Context Protocol (MCP). In addition to the official IBKR connectors available on ChatGPT, Claude, and Grok, this allows traders to use their IBKR account with a wide range of AI tools, including Claude Code, Cursor, ChatGPT Workspaces, and more.
