Interactive Brokers enables traders to connect their accounts to any MCP-compatible AI application
Electronic trading major Interactive Brokers has released version 1.1.5 of IBKR Connector.
Interactive Brokers’ clients can now connect their IBKR account to any AI application that supports the Model Context Protocol (MCP). In addition to the official IBKR connectors available on ChatGPT, Claude, and Grok, this allows traders to use their IBKR account with a wide range of AI tools, including Claude Code, Cursor, ChatGPT Workspaces, and more.
To get started, locate the option to add an MCP server or set up a custom connector within your AI application’s settings, then enter the following Remote MCP Server URL:
https://api.ibkr.com/v1/api/mcp-public
After connecting, you’ll be guided through the standard IBKR authentication and authorization process. Your IBKR credentials are never shared with the AI application, and you can revoke access at any time from Client Portal > Settings > Manage Third-Party Consents.
