IG Securities, the Japanese subsidiary of electronic trading major IG Group, has announced the suspension of vanilla options trading.

In order to revise the margin calculation method for vanilla options trading, which IG Japan has been offering since February 9, 2026, the broker will be temporarily suspending the provision of new trades for individual accounts.

Vanilla options trading for corporate accounts will continue as usual.

The suspension period will run from noon on May 21, 2026 (Thursday) until further notice. The company will announce the resumption date in a news release as soon as it is determined.

Existing positions can be closed using the usual procedure from the positions screen. Settlement processing for positions reaching maturity will be carried out as usual.

All services except vanilla options trading are available as usual.
