FOREX.com Japan to terminate MT4 service
FOREX.com Japan has informed its clients of the upcoming end of the MetaTrader 4 (MT4) service.
The change is blamed on increasingly stringent cybersecurity standards, which require FOREX.com to better protect client assets and personal information.
The MT4 account discontinuation is scheduled for October 2026 or later. After this date, FOREX,com Japan clients will no longer be able to log in to MT4 or conduct any trades on the MT4 platform.
Since June 2026, FOREX.com Japan has been offering MT5 as the successor platform to MT4. Compared to MT4, it offers enhanced analytical functions and processing performance. MT5 also provides additional features such as a wider range of timeframes and advanced charting functions.
The broker offers its own FOREX.com account. Its clients can trade Japanese stock CFDs, stock index CFDs, and knockout options with FX as the underlying asset. It features TradingView charts and supports AI-powered performance analysis.
