Electronic trading major Interactive Brokers continues to enhance its trading solutions.

ForecastTrader contracts are now seamlessly integrated into the IBKR Mobile app. With this update the app users can now:

• Trade and explore Forecast contracts without redirecting to the external ForecastTrader application.
• Explore Forecast contracts related to other financial instruments they are viewing (note that this is currently available for a limited set of products with more rolling out very soon).

Forecast and Event Contracts enable investors to trade their opinion on specific yes-or-no questions on political1 indicators such as the US Presidential, Senate or House of Representative elections, economic indicators such as the Consumer Price Index and the Fed Funds Rate, climate indicators such as temperatures and atmospheric CO2, and key futures markets, including energy, metals, and equity indexes.

For each contract you hold that expires “in the money”, in reference to the settlement value, you receive a fixed payout.

Trade YES or NO positions based on your view of whether the event will happen. The “YES” price is determined by the probability that an event will happen.
