etoro to migrate clients to new trading app
Israel based online broker etoro (NASDAQ:ETOR) has announced that from October 4th it will begin the gradual migration to its new app.
etoro said that the new app is 5 times faster, with richer asset pages, advanced charts, and advanced modes for your watchlist and portfolio. Tori, etoro’s AI agent, now works proactively – surfacing insights about the assets you actually hold and follow. The upgrade will happen automatically for etoro clients, over the course of a few weeks. etoro client accounts, login and portfolio stay exactly as they are. For clients who want to check it out ahead of time, early access is available now.
The old etoro app will eventually be retired.
What’s changing, and what isn’t
From October 4th, etoro will begin upgrading users to the new etoro app in stages. The current app will update automatically.
Client accounts, login and portfolio stay the same. There’s nothing to transfer, nothing to re-create, nothing to set up. It’s the experience that is new – how the app feels to use and what you can do.
Five times faster
Time is precious. The new app is 5x faster than the current etoro app.
That number matters most in the moments where speed is the whole point. Checking a position while you’re walking out the door. Opening an asset page because something just moved. Placing a trade when the window is narrow.
Tori now speaks first
etoro said it has built the new app with AI at its core. Until now, getting something useful out of an AI agent meant knowing what to ask. That’s a real barrier, and it’s the one etoro has removed.
Tori, the AI agent, is now proactive. Rather than waiting for a prompt, it surfaces insights tied to what you actually hold and follow: movements in your positions, developments around the assets on your watchlist, context on the things you’ve shown an interest in. Relevant to your portfolio, not to the market in general.
The difference in practice is that you stop hunting for the thing worth knowing and start having insights shared with you automatically. Instead of opening the app to check whether anything happened, you open it because Tori has already flagged that it did.
You can still ask Tori anything you like. It just no longer requires you to think of the question first.
New adjustable views
The new app gives you more control over what you see and how much of it.
Portfolio and Watchlist pages now have advanced modes. If you like a simple overview, that’s the default and nothing gets in your way. If you’d rather see more data at once — deeper detail across your holdings, more dimensions on your watchlist, denser layouts built for scanning — you switch modes and the app gives you the fuller picture. Two different needs, without one compromising the other.
Alongside that:
- Clearer portfolio views that make your overall position readable at a glance.
- Richer asset pages with more of the context you’d otherwise open a second tab for.
- Advanced charts for anyone who does their thinking visually.
The principle throughout is that the app should adapt to how you trade and invest, rather than asking you to adapt to it.
Early access
The new app is temporarily labelled ‘etoro AI’, and will appear alongside clients’ current etoro app. Please don’t delete your current app. Both apps will be on your device during the early access period, and you can move between them freely.
The ‘etoro AI’ app exists for early access only and will be retired once your current app has been upgraded. After that, you’ll carry on using your upgraded etoro app as normal — with everything you’ve already got used to.
