FNG Exclusive… FNG has learned that Chariton Christou, the longtime Head of Quantitative Research at leading online Retail FX and CFDs broker Tickmill, has left the company to start a new AI-based financial research outfit called Boltzmann Research.

Chariton Christou has been based in London with Tickmill since 2017, joining initially as a Senior Risk Manager before being promoted to Head of Quantitative Research in 2018. He earned a PhD in Computational Fluid Dynamics from Edinburgh’s Heriot-Watt University. To start up Boltzmann Research, Chariton has brought along a number of his research colleagues at Tickmill, all based in Cyprus, including:

• Maria Konstantinou, PhD, Senior Quantitative Researcher and co-founder.
• Giannos Stylianou, MSc, Lead Software Engineer and co-founder.
• Andreas Voskou, MSc, Senior Quantitative Researcher.
• Nikolas Michael, Junior Quant Researcher.

My time at Tickmill has been an amazing experience filled with valuable lessons, unforgettable memories, and the privilege of working alongside exceptional colleagues and mentors. I am deeply grateful for the support and guidance that have shaped my journey and contributed to my growth. 🙏

Now, as I transition into this new role, I am incredibly enthusiastic about leading Boltzmann Research into a future where AI revolutionizes the financial sector.
