ESMA TRS 2 system issue resolved, Sweden’s FI confirms
LEI validation in the TRS 2 system is functional again, Sweden’s financial regulator FI confirmed today.
FI has received and input all GLEIF LEI data files that were missing in the TRS 2 system due to an incident that occurred at ESMA during the period from August 10, 2021 to August 27, 2021.
Transactions with LEI codes valid in GLEIF for TradeDates during this period that were incorrectly rejected by the TRS 2 system can now be resubmitted.
As FX News Group has reported, on August 26, 2021, FI said ESMA had had an ongoing IT incident since 10 August 2021 that prevented it from delivering to national supervisory authorities LEI reference data files for transaction validation.
Therefore, since 10 August, the TRS 2 system has been validating transactions against GLEIF LEI data as per 2021-08-09, which has resulted in a large number of incorrect RJCT statuses on transactions with LEI codes valid on TradeDates.
