CySEC withdraws license of MPS Marketplace Securities, f/k/a SpotOption
The Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) today announced the withdrawal of the Cyprus Investment Firm (CIF) authorisation of MPS Marketplace Securities Ltd.
The decision about the withdrawal was made at a CySEC meeting held on July 11, 2022. The withdrawal, which is in line with section 8(1)(a) of the Investment Services and Activities and Regulated Markets Law of 2017 and section 4(7) of Directive DI87-05, is due to the company’s decision to expressly renounce its CIF license.
According to CySEC’s website, MPS Marketplace Securities operates the approved domain www.mps.trade.
The company is formerly known as SpotOption Exchange Ltd and S.O. Spotoption Ltd, a brand widely known when the binary options industry flourished.
Earlier today, CySEC announced the withdrawal of the Cyprus Investment Firm authorisation with Number 014/03 of Sharelink Securities & Financial Services Ltd. This withdrawal reflects the decision to renounce its CIF license.
