Sberbank opens access to software library PyTorch Life Stream
Sber has opened access to PyTorch Life Stream, a software library with several algorithms for building embeddings of event sequences. This instrument can be used to prepare collections of anonymized data (datasets).
Event-related data are sequences of different kind: web browsing history, purchase history, events in online games, and so on. Generated using the library algorithms, the embedding of this sequence will feature no personal data at all.
The library utilizes a unique algorithm for applying neural network contrast learning to event data, created and patented at the Sber Artificial Intelligence Laboratory. In addition, the library implements methods based on third-party research articles that Sber adapted to event data.
Alexander Vedyakhin, first deputy chairman of the Executive Board of Sberbank, commented:
“The shortage of cleaned, anonymized and labeled data is one of the main barriers to the further development of artificial intelligence and the creation of new products and services that can address the most important scientific and social issues.
However, there are tools that can prepare such data. Free access to these tools is an important condition for overcoming the barrier. I am sure that the release of our library to the public will accelerate the evolution and implementation of artificial intelligence systems in Russia and, as a result, will promote competition and economic development of our country.”
Sber has been sharing the results of its AI studies with everyone for a long time now. Previously, the company granted free access to libraries like ruGPT-3, LAMA, RePlay, and ruDALL-E.
