Interactive Brokers updates TWS API
Electronic trading major Interactive Brokers has released a new version (10.19) of its TWS API. The latest release introduces Bond Issuer enhancements, as new fields have been added to SymbolSamples response and ReqContractDetails request.
The TWS API also offers support of instrument timezone.
It is now possible to send date/time values in different formats: UTC format, instrument’s exchange timezone and operator’s timezone
Now historical data ticks are delivered in shares.
Let’s note that the API provides support of MOT (Manual Order Time) and MOCT (Manual Order Cancel Time) fields in placeOrder/cancelOrder requests and of new offset attributes for IBKRATS Pegged-to-Best and Pegged-to-Midpoint (PEGBEST, PEGMID) orders.
There are also new IPO prices generic ticks, as well as support for Advanced Order Reject.
Interactive Brokers regularly updates its trading solutions. The broker has recently updated the TWS File menu to include several new features.
Now traders can switch versions of TWS to Stable, Latest, or Beta – all without logging out and restarting. They can use the Change Version command on the File menu to see what’s new in beta or just to compare the differences between two versions.
Interactive Brokers has added a Logout and Restart command. Use Logout to exit and log back in without having to find TWS and double-click to launch. Use Restart for a refresh at any time, without need to log back in.
Restore settings now have a new Restore to Default Settings command. Use this if you want to revert TWS back to its original layout. When you use this feature, your current layout is saved and can be reinstated.
