eToro acquires provider of portfolio management tools Bullsheet
Online broker eToro has acquired Bullsheet, a provider of portfolio management tools designed exclusively for eToro users.
Portuguese cousins Filipe Sommer and João Ramalho Carlos joined the eToro platform as users in 2020 and went on to join eToro’s Popular Investor program. Twelve months later they launched Bullsheet exclusively for eToro users. Bullsheet provides portfolio management tools which enable eToro users to analyse the diversification of their portfolio, in addition to a suite of other tools designed specifically for eToro users.
“The Bullsheet story is a great example of the talent and passion within eToro’s global community. It’s the wisdom of the crowd in action,” comments Yoni Assia, eToro’s Co-founder and CEO. “We believe there is a power in shared knowledge and that by transforming investing into a group effort we yield better results and become more successful together. João and Filipe share this ethos. They created Bullsheet to share the tools they developed as eToro users with other users. We are excited to welcome them into the eToro team where they will make a strong contribution to our ongoing product development efforts.”
As part of its commitment to enhancing user experience, eToro is working to integrate Bullsheet’s offering into the eToro platform and João and Filipe have joined eToro’s product development team. They will support eToro’s goal of integrating user feedback and requests into its product offering.
Their calendar feature is already live and their most popular feature – the ability to monitor your eToro portfolio out of market hours – will be rolled out soon. An enhanced ‘news’ feature which creates a personalised news feed based on the assets in your eToro portfolio, is also launching soon.
Filipe Sommer, co-founder of Bullsheet, comments:
“João and I joined eToro to be part of a community. It was the collaborative mindset of eToro, including the ability to copy other investors that really attracted us to the platform. eToro gave us the ability to interact with millions of investors from around the world. We all share the same goal – we want to learn about the financial markets and become better investors together.”
João Ramalho Carlos, co-founder of Bullsheet, adds:
“We are thrilled to have made the transition from eToro users to eToro employees. eToro’s mission is to provide users with the tools they need to grow their knowledge and wealth as part of a global community. We are excited to play our part in ensuring that eToro maintains its reputation for delivering innovative tools that help the retail investor.”
