Pay-O-Matic to reopen locations in coordination with Western Union
The New York Department of Financial Services (DFS) has posted on an update on the status of Pay-O-Matic.
Pay-O-Matic will be re-opening locations in coordination with Western Union. The license suspension has been lifted.
The DFS notice says:
“Notice Regarding PAYOMATIC
Pay-O-Matic, provider of check cashing and money transmission services, will be re-opening locations in coordination with Western Union.
On September 13, the Department suspended Pay-O-Matic’s license after it ceased operations. The Department has lifted that suspension and approved reopening locations under this arrangement, while Pay-O-Matic and Western Union work through a potential acquisition.
