Clearstream, Brookfield collaborate to expand investor access
Deutsche Börse Group’s post-trade business Clearstream and leading global alternative asset manager Brookfield have announced a partnership to expand investor access.
Through this collaboration, Brookfield’s Luxembourg domiciled evergreen private market funds, including infrastructure, private credit and private equity, will be accessible via Clearstream’s leading fund distribution platform.
The partnership marks another step in Clearstream’s strategy to facilitate access to private markets. By integrating Brookfield’s fund suite into Clearstream’s distribution and order-routing infrastructure, fund distributors, private banks, and wealth managers can access alternative funds with the same standardization, operational efficiency, and settlement ease traditionally associated with mutual funds.
For Brookfield, which has approximately $1 trillion in assets under management, the agreement broadens its reach across global wealth management networks through Clearstream’s extensive connectivity. It enables private wealth clients to incorporate Brookfield’s alternative investments into their core, diversified portfolio strategies.
Moritz Dechow, Head of Distribution for Clearstream Fund Services, commented:
“We are delighted to partner with world-class alternative asset manager Brookfield. Expanding our private markets network is central to our ambition to empower wealth managers and distributors with the tools they need to navigate alternative investments. By removing operational complexity and standardizing access, we are enabling distributors to deliver high-quality, diversified private market solutions to their clients with maximum efficiency.”
Tara Newbery, Managing Director in the Legal and Regulatory group for Brookfield’s Private Wealth group, added:
“Clearstream’s established reach across global private banking and wealth channels, combined with its robust operational infrastructure, makes them an ideal partner. Together, we look forward to making Brookfield’s institutional-quality private market strategies a standard component of wealth portfolios.”
