Scope Markets hires Antonia Droussiotou from Skilling, Joshua Mahony from IG
CySEC licensed Retail FX and CFDs broker Scope Markets is continuing its recent hiring spree after being acquired by Rostro Group earlier this year, making three new management appointments – which include two outside hires from rival firms.
Scope said that its Chief Market Analyst and (now former) Head of Brand James Hughes has been promoted to the role of Group Head of Marketing.
Replacing Mr. Hughes as Chief Market Analyst at Scope is Joshua Mahony, who joins Scope following an eight year tenure with IG Group in London. Joshua is a Member of the Society of Technical Analysts (MSTA) and has previously worked for institutions including Barclays and Deutsche Bank.
Antonia Droussiotou (pictured above), who brings with her over a decade’s worth of financial markets experience, joins from Cypriot-based CFD provider Skilling as the new Head of Brand.
James Hughes commented:
“Following the acquisition of Scope Markets by Rostro Group, the business has been undergoing a series of changes to ensure that we’re well positioned for our future growth ambitions. Part of this is building out a team of knowledgeable market experts across the globe, to help our customers achieve their full potential. Josh will be instrumental in helping deliver this initiative, in conjunction with Antonia.”
Pavel Spirin, Scope Markets CEO, added:
“2023 is set to be an exciting year for Scope Markets. With the new team now very much in place, we are confident that under the ownership of Rostro Group, we will continue to deliver against our ambition of becoming the financial service provider of choice in the many markets we are operating in.”
About Scope Markets
Scope Markets was taken over by Rostro Group earlier this year, and we reported at the time that one of the company’s key plans was to increase the broker’s footprint in the MENA region. After the acquisition closed Rostro named former Skilling, CMC Markets and Alpari UK executive Pavel Spirin as CEO of Scope Markets. The company also named former OANDA exec John Murphy as Chief Revenue Officer.
