Exclusive: FXSpotStream adds Caryn Kim as Bus Dev Manager
FNG Exclusive… FNG has learned that multibank FX and Precious Metals streaming service provider FXSpotStream has added FX industry veteran Caryn Kim as the company’s new Business Development Manager.
Caryn Kim began her career with Lord Abbett before working at several global banks, including J.P. Morgan, Barclays, HSBC and Deutsche Bank. Most recently Caryn led the onboarding team at XP Investments covering FX, equity derivatives and futures in LATAM, Asia, Europe and the US.
FXSpotStream provides a multibank FX and Precious Metals streaming Service supporting trading in FX Spot, Forwards, Swaps, NDF/NDS and Precious Metals Spot and Swaps. It is a bank owned consortium operating as a market utility, providing the infrastructure that facilitates a multibank API and GUI to route trades from clients to Liquidity Providers.
FNG spoke with FXSpotStream CEO Alan Schwarz about Ms. Kim’s hiring, he noted:
We hired Caryn Kim as Business Development Manager. As a senior member of the team, Caryn brings a wealth of knowledge to us having spent a long career working for many of our banks. She brings experience in onboarding and relationship management, including running teams covering those functions. Caryn will be working closely with our CTO and Product Team as we gear up to launch several new initiatives next year.
Banks connected to FXSpotStream’s streaming aggregation venue serve as Liquidity Providers to clients. FXSpotStream’s streaming aggregation service functions as a market utility, providing the infrastructure to facilitate multibank trades from clients to Liquidity Providers. Clients access a GUI or single API from co-location sites in New York, London and Tokyo and have the potential to communicate with all Liquidity Providing banks connected to FXSpotStream.
FXSpotStream’s streaming aggregation venue does not charge brokerage fees to clients or banks. FXSpotStream’s liquidity providers include BofA Merrill Lynch, Barclays, BNP Paribas, Citi, Commerzbank AG, Credit Suisse, Goldman Sachs, HSBC, J.P. Morgan, Morgan Stanley, MUFG Bank, Societe Generale, Standard Chartered, State Street and UBS. The company is based in Jersey City, NJ and also has offices in London and Tokyo.
