Exclusive: Kraken UK COO Andy Quach departs
FNG Exclusive… FNG has learned that Andy Quach, Kraken’s #2 executive in the UK and its Chief Operation Officer for the past year, has left the company.
While Andy hasn’t indicated what his next stop is, he did indicate that he’s relocating from London to Singapore for a new opportunity.
Andy Quach joined the UK arm of US crypto platform operator Kraken in 2024 as Head of Commercial Strategy UK, and was soon after promoted to Head of Strategy and Operations, before being named COO UK in mid 2025. He joined Kraken after serving as General Manager Europe and Head of Commercial for embedded financing platform YouLend. Andy also previously worked for management consulting firm Oliver Wyman.
Andy posted the following note on LinkedIn regarding his decision, and his time at Kraken.
After two and a half years at Kraken UK, I’m moving on from my role as Chief Operating Officer for a new opportunity in Singapore.
I’ve owned the UK P&L, our product launches, and our FCA licensing processes. In that time we more than doubled revenue, took market share from the competition, and turned a global exchange into something built for the UK: sterling stablecoin yield, payment rails that work with British banks, and marketing made for UK users rather than adapted from the US. Kraken went from a trading exchange to payments, stablecoins and a neobank.
We’re now hiring my replacement. The UK is bringing crypto inside the regulatory perimeter for the first time, which I think is the most interesting thing happening in British financial services right now. Whoever takes this role gets to decide what a regulated crypto and payments business actually looks like here, for millions of Britons.
Happy to speak to anyone interested.
