First Derivatives adds ex eBay CTO Steve Fisher to its board
Financial data analytics company First Derivatives (FD) has announced the appointment of Steve Fisher as a Non-Executive Director of the Group with effect from 15 September 2020.
This marks the second recent appointment to the FD board. In July, the company named Cloudflare CFO Thomas Seifert as a non-executive director.
Steve Fisher was formerly Chief Technology Officer of eBay, where he led the core product and technology team responsible for eBay marketplace, eBay’s Global Payments Business and its multi-channel marketing platform and operations team. Prior to that he spent 10 years at Salesforce.com in software engineering and product management leadership roles, culminating in leading the technology team responsible for the development, quality, service delivery and operations of its Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and collaborations software and the force.com cloud platform.
Steve has also held senior technology development positions within telecoms and networking, including at Apple and AT&T Labs. His combination of enterprise technology development and leadership expertise in software platforms, software as a service and cloud is highly relevant to FD’s growth strategy. In particular, Steve’s expertise in the development and scaling of market-leading enterprise software will assist the expansion of the Kx streaming analytics platform into other industries adjacent to and outside of its capital markets heritage. He is a named inventor on 21 patents and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematical and Computational Science and a Master of Science degree in Computer Science, both from Stanford University.
